Ain't no valley low enough...One of my dearest and oldest friends in the MBA program is called Nick Wai, and he's from Hong Kong and Australia. We met at the Open Weekend last year, where we happened to sit next to each other at dinner on Friday night. We got chatting and discovered we both love art, and I think we were secretly both relieved to find that there were 'normal' people in the MBA ;-)
Nick is doing the most amazing shadowing project, shadowing an LBS alum who runs Racing The Planet, and Nick's writing about it for the FT (how cool is that!), follow his story via this link and the introduction here. I am proud to call him my friend and I love that he's got such a good shadowing project! Go Nick!
hey there, not sure how I landed up here, but glad that I did. Just read your rant on Math, and I completely identify with you. Not to mention I'm completely terrified, coz I'm about to start my MBA at IESE and get cold sweats thinking about how the hell I'm gonna cope. I guess there's still some hope for me?

Don't be terrified, Ashwyn, you'll be fine. This is where your classmates come in: they'll help you. Or at the very least sympathise. And if all else fails: blog about it! It won't help much, but it'll make you feel better :-)

Excellent comments by your friend Nicholas. Enjoyed his diary entries.
As a graduate of executive MBA program at IPADE (Mexico) I found that his comments are true; an MBA program is a great enabler and I am pursuing what interests me.
I was able to complete the program, even though Spanish is not my first language, and as a Canadian, I was able to bring to the table my international experiences.
Good luck on your pursuits. As Nicholas states "There are limitless opportunities out there"
Saludos,
